Arrow Digital has installed a 3.2 metre x 3.2 metre MCT Versatech2, the latest in digital cutting/finishing, at Caterpillar Sign, in Ahmedabad. Caterpillar Sign is a leader in sign business and state-of-the-art printing technology. MCT Digital’s patented dual belt technology for laser cutting increases output in processing roll-to-roll fabrics/textiles.

The VersaTech2 is the next generation flatbed cutting solution, boasting a newly designed high strength and lighter weight beam for unparalleled cutting speeds and accuracy. It provides the highest acceleration and speed, with the quality expected of a high end performer, according to Arrow Digital.

This allows the Versatech2 to provide the highest acceleration and speed, with the quality expected of a high end performer. Designed specifically for this new level of performance, the VersaTech2 allows for full automation and productivity over the entire range of cutting area without compromise. New tooling and workflow software offer more efficient productivity and throughput, and can also fully integrate with today’s printer RIPS. MCT, with its latest laser cutting, is best for fabrics, as it does not touch the material, but cuts and seals the edges and in any desired shape at lightning speeds.

Creating new applications like “Green” Kapa boards printed and profile cut for double the exposure of advertising against the shabby looking PVC Sun-boards and standees, a lot of new innovations are on the horizon with this latest print and cut technology.

With MCT, one can print and kiss cut or just merely cut, aluminium, vinyl/plastic badges, labels, rolled vinyl, semi rigid plastics, flexible circuits, rolled fabric, rigid boards, plastics and composites, packaging and cardboard materials, structural materials including point of purchase, foams of varying densities and thicknesses, banner material, and much more.
