Ascend Performance Materials is displaying its No-Shock anti static fibre, which is a permanent and bi component anti static fibre for use in consumer, industrial and military apparel at the IFAI Expo 2016 to be held in North Carolina in booth A-1349. The No-Shock material is based on nylon 6,6 fibre and is produced at its Florida facility.

According to the company, No-Shock's bi-component fibres dissipate static, repel lint and dust, and improve drape and laundering results in garments.

“Fibers like No-Shock are growing in demand because they offer customers in the uniform and apparel industries new options,” Harrie Schoots, business development manager for Ascend Performance Materials said. “Because our fibres replace chemical finishes, our customers have the choice for a more environmentally-friendly option,”

Ascend Performance Materials is a fully-integrated manufacturer of nylon 6,6-based fibre, nylon 6,6 resin, intermediate chemicals and dozens of specialty chemicals. (AR)
