Asian benzene falls last week from weak upstream prices

Benzene prices fell in Asia in the last week ended Oct 23 from weak upstream energy prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices contracted by US$ 10/ton or 1.65 per cent and were quoted at US$ 595/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices reduced by US$ 10/ton and were offered at US$ 600/ton in the last week, down 1.64 per cent as against its prior week.

In India, average prices slipped by US$ 10/ton and were assessed at US$ 605/ton in the last week, a decrease of 1.63 per cent vis-à-vis its earlier week.
