China's domestic benzene market was steady on Wednesday, although transactions were limited. In Asian markets, benzene fell US $1 per ton from the previous day to close at $1045-1048 (FOB Korea).
In the East China market, benzene was quoted at 8,200-8,300 Yuan / ton, market price in South China stood at 8,200-8,300 Yuan / ton and in the North China market too, it ranged between 8,200-8,300 Yuan / ton.
Market price of benzene in Chinese domestic market was basically stable, due to the impact of sharp drop in oil prices, but downstream users adopted wait and watch attitude, due to which trade volume was limited.
Market participants expect that short-term domestic benzene market will continue to consolidate in the short term.
