Propylene prices went down in parts of Asia by the end of the last week ending Oct 10.

Prices declined mainly due to sluggish downstream demand in the region coupled with lower upstream energy prices, ample product availability and dull demand for downstream products.

Prices in Korea were assessed at US$ 1295/ton in the beginning of last week, which went down by US$ 15/ton at the end of the week and were assessed at US$ 1280/ton.

In S E Asia, prices were at US$ 1250/ton in the early days of last week, which declined to US$ 1245/ton towards end of the week.

However, in Japan, prices kept steady at US$ 1250/ton during last week.
