Asian PX prices jump sharply last week

Paraxylene prices surged sharply in Asia in the previous week due to strong business activity in the region.
In Korea, average prices soared by US$ 30/ton and recorded at US$ 1005/ton in the last week, a sharp gain of 3.08 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.
In SE Asia, average prices climbed by US$ 35/ton and secured at US$ 1030/ton in the last week, registering a hike of 3.52 per cent as compared to the previous week.
In Taiwan, average prices rose by US$ 30/ton and assessed at US$ 1030/ton in the last week, after an increase of 3.00 per cent over the previous week.
