Asian PX prices surge last week

Paraxylene prices stepped up in Asia in the last week owing to good demand trends along with higher upstream energy values in the region.
In Korea, average prices inched higher by US$ 15/ton and assessed at US$ 925/ton in the last week, a lift of 1.65 per cent compared to previous week.
In SE Asia, average prices moved up by US$ 15/ton and quoted at US$ 935/ton in the last week, showing a gain of 1.63 per cent over previous week.
In Taiwan, average prices increased by US$ 15/ton and secured at US$ 855/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, a jump of 1.79 per cent.
