Concurrent fairs, the International Apparel, Textile and Footwear (ATF) Import Trade and the China Premium Trade (CPT) have begun today in Cape Town, South Africa. The twin event will end on November 23.It offers a wide range of products for sourcing executives under one roof. First-time exhibitors Belarus and Estonia are displaying linen products.

The main aim of the event is to offer manufacturers and importers from across the world an opportunity to contact South African buyers. The products on display include womenswear, menswear, kidswear, footwear, fashion accessories, home textiles, clothing fabrics, yarn, thread, machinery, trims and much more.

The highlights of the event include informative business presentations on every show. Trend Forward owner Dave Nemeth, Nicola Cooper from Nicola Cooper & Associates and Choppies Superstores independent retail consultant Brett Kaplan are participating in the event this year. They are presenting a talk focused on advising attendees on the trends shaping their industries and preparing them for the future.

This is Leaders in Trade Exhibitions’ (LTE) last year of organising the ATF expo. The company will hand over the reins of both the ATF and Source Africa events to the South African subsidiary of global trade fair company Messe Frankfurt, a move which is expected to help grow the shows on an international scale.
