Australian Wool Exchange raises price of its labels

Australian Wool Exchange (AWEX) has raised the price of its labels by AUD 0.40 each. The increased funding will be utilized towards additional quality assurance programmes.
The increase in price is likely to be passed on to wool growers by manufacturers of bale pack.
AWEX said the additional funding was required to keep pace with the growing demands from both domestic and foreign customers.
The competition from other countries is increasing and hence, it is necessary to improve on quality, AWEX said.
