Bearish buying trends pull down Asian benzene last week

Benzene prices declined in Asia in the last week ending Oct 31, due to bearish buying trends in the region.

In Korea, average benzene prices went down by US$ 30/ton or 2.67 percent and were quoted at US$ 1095/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week ending Oct 24.

In the Japanese market, average prices fell by US$ 30/ton and were assessed at US$ 1100/ton in the last week, down 2.65 percent from its previous week.

In India, average benzene prices descended by US$ 30/ton or 2.64 percent from its previous week and were offered at US$ 1105/ton last week.
