Benzene prices declined in parts of Asia on Thursday (Feb 12) mainly due to fall in upstream energy prices and feedstock prices coupled with sluggish downstream demand in the region.

In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 645/ton on Thursday, lower by US$ 10/ton as compared to the prices on Wednesday.

In India, prices were assessed at US$ 655/ton on Feb 12. Also down by US$ 5/ton as against prices on Feb 11.

However, benzene prices remained stable in Korea at US$ 650/ton.
