Benzene prices surge in Europe past week

Benzene prices moved up in Europe in the last week due to strong upstream energy values along with improved regional buying inquiries.
In Europe, average prices climbed by US$10/ton and finalized at US$875/ton in the last week as compared to the previous week, a hike of 1.16 per cent.
Meanwhile in US, average prices inched higher by 5 cents/gallon and assessed at 300 cents/gallon in the last week, a surge of 1.69 per cent over the previous week owing to favorable market essentials in the region.
