Bharat Tex 2024, India's premier textile event, is gearing up to confront the significant challenges hindering the growth of the country's textile industry head-on. As highlighted by Bhadresh Dodhia, the co-chairman of the event, the textile sector faces multifaceted obstacles including stiff competition from international markets, the urgent need for technological advancement, infrastructural constraints, sustainability concerns, and regulatory hurdles.

“India faces several challenges including competition from international markets, technological upgradation, infrastructure and logistics, access to raw materials, environment and sustainability concerns, regulatory and policy challenges, and availability of skilled workforce. Bharat Tex 2024 aims to address these challenges by showcasing innovations, promoting sustainable practices, and creating a platform for collaboration among stakeholders,” Dodhia told Fibre2Fashion in an exclusive interview.

By leveraging the extensive platform provided by Bharat Tex 2024, stakeholders from across the textile value chain will have the opportunity to demonstrate India's capabilities, resilience, and commitment to overcoming obstacles. The event intends to serve as a catalyst for driving growth in the sector, facilitating knowledge sharing, encouraging investment in technology, and fostering international trade relationships. “I expect the event to result in an increase in the country’s textile exports, all set against the backdrop of our rich heritage and a progressive textile landscape,” Dodhia added.

By remaining adaptable and focused on consumer needs, Bharat Tex 2024 aims to lead in addressing the evolving demands of the textile market, he concluded.
