Bluesign conference to encourage in-depth conversations

The 5th Bluesign conference taking place on October 18-19, 2018 in Milan is set to encourage more in-depth conversations and expand the way people think about the textile and apparel industry. The conference, a gathering of all the Bluesign system partners and broader sustainability community, is an opportunity to exchange ideas and network with colleagues.

At the two-day conference, Simonetta Carbonara, a consumer psychologist, will challenge the audience to think bigger than ever. Another speaker, Cara Smyth, founder of the Fair Fashion Center, will broaden the perspective of participants on financial recommendations. Houdini Sportswear CEO Eva Karlsson will share her experience with sustainability metrics and the progressive framework of the Planetary Boundaries.

Simone Cipriani, founder of the Ethical Fashion Initiative, will inspire people to think outside of the normal box. In addition, representatives from well-known textile-apparel-fashion houses like Stella McCartney, Levi Strauss, Ikea, Eataly World, Lenzing, and Theory will bring new perspectives to consider from very different viewpoints.

Morevoer, networking sessions also form part of the conference design. An exclusive social event will round out the conference and will share secret insights into the charming heart of the fashion metropolis Milan.
