C.L.A.S.S to unveil Education Smart Kit at Premiere Vision

C.L.A.S.S, a unique multi-platform hub based in Milan, Italy, specialising in integrating a new generation of eco values into fashion, home products, lifestyle brands, is set to launch its C.L.A.S.S. Education Smart Kit at Premiere Vision Paris, in booth S35. The global event for fashion professionals will be held from September 19-21, 2018, in Paris.

The Education Smart Kit by C.L.A.S.S is a new, easy-to-use, educational support tool developed for universities that introduces innovative smart materials certified with sustainable credentials. These innovations, in comparison to conventional materials, offer significant reductions in water, CO2 emissions, chemicals, and energy. The goal is to support emerging fashion talents to transform their design thinking process and move from a linear to a circular economy business model and encourage responsible future fashion systems, according to a company press release.

For the third year, the Smart Square, an informative and visionary space dedicated to information and discussions, where exhibitors, designers, buyers, and fashion brands can experience responsible values and innovations in the fashion industry, will again highlight a fantastic new range of responsibly made materials that inspire creativity at the expo.

“Première Vision Smart Creation is a platform for communications whose primary goal is to promote the responsible approaches of its exhibitors, and shed light on a new generation of values combining creativity, innovation and sustainability. The aim is to showcase new perspectives and new competitive advantages for the entire creative fashion industry. Smart Square is where the discussions have to start, to find concrete solutions to the industry’s problems,” Giusy Bettoni, C.L.A.S.S. founder, C.L.A.S.S. education co-founder, and Première Vision sustainability consultant for smart creation said.

“I have been an educator for over 20 years, Giusy and I were excited to combine our expertise to develop, a first of its kind, easy-to-use educational tool that assists universities integrate design responsibility. Our goal was to develop a clever educational resource as part of a new service offered by C.L.A.S.S. Education. The C.L.A.S.S. Education Smart Kit allows emerging fashion design and business talents to see, feel, touch, and learn about alternatives needed to be competitive, socially responsible, and achieve a new dimension of creativity,” James Mendolia, C.L.A.S.S. education co-founder and fashion institute of technology professor (FIT sustainability council member) said.

On September 20, 2018, James will give a presentation titled ‘Smart Innovation, the New Standard for Fashion’ to endorse this year’s theme, ‘Tomorrow is Here Through the Lenses of Circular Economy. Fashion designers, merchandisers, sourcing experts, educators, and fashion students of all majors, can learn why brands are sourcing smart innovations. James will engage attendees’ senses as they realise smart innovation as the new standard for fashion.

Première Vision attendees can also visit C.L.A.S.S. booth for a demonstration of the C.L.A.S.S. Education Smart Kit and to learn about upcoming C.L.A.S.S. education pop-up seminars, customised executive training, and a variety of dynamic workshops for brands, professionals, emerging designers, and those studying fashion.
