Calm course of cotton business along with firm prices

During the week under report the cotton quotations in New York climbed constantly to new highs. Offers from the countries of origins, as far as available, remained furthermore firm.
Despite works holidays of most spinning mills, the local market was enlivened. Contracts could be realised for near dates as well as for shipment from the coming crop.
In the Upland range were traded: West African styles and Central Asian sorts for near dates still before respectively right after the works holidays and for dates in the 1st quarter 2010.
In the LS/ELS range contracts were registered in USA Pima for the 1st and 2nd quarter 2010; Israel Pima for the 2nd quarter 2010, and ACALPI for dates in the 1st and 2nd quarter 2010.
