Cambodia’s state-owned Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS), the country’s largest seaport, handled a total container throughput of 1.34 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) last year—up by 30.5 per cent year on year (YoY), according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

The seaport handled 12.3 million tonnes of containerised cargoes last year—a YoY increase of 25 per cent, a report by the ministry said. It earned unaudited revenue of $151 million in the year—up by 35 per cent YoY.

The Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (PPAP), the state-owned river port in Kandal province, recorded a surge in container throughput of 600,023 TEUs last year—up by 25 per cent YoY, according to domestic media outlets.

The listed river port handled 5.6 million tonnes of containerised cargoes last year—an increase of 15.5 per cent YoY—with unaudited revenues of $53.3 million—up by 21 per cent YoY.
