Caustic Soda plant of Asahimas to go off-stream in Sept

Another Asian Caustic Soda plant is expected to remain shutdown in September 2012, this one in Indonesia.

A Caustic Soda plant located in Anyer in West Java and managed by PT Asahimas Chemical will go off-stream in mid- September.

“The plant which has a production capacity of 220,000 tons per year will remain shutdown for a period of one month”, a PT Asahimas Chemical official informed fibre2fashion.

He also added that the plant is currently operating at 100 percent capacity rates.
