Coats bags gold at 2018 Corporate & Financial Awards

Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturer and a major player in the Americas textile crafts market, has won a gold award at the 2018 Corporate and Financial Awards in the ‘Best online report: FTSE 250’ category. The seventh annual awards ceremony was held on September 25, 2018, at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, in London.

Coats’ 2017 online annual report was themed ‘Delivering today, Transforming for tomorrow’ and provided it’s financial and sustainability performance for the year. The content-rich, mobile responsive mini site, kept to a single page to provide users with a concise and consistent form of navigation. It included a short video from the CEO, as well as providing strong visual aids and clickable drop down information. It earned resounding praise from the Awards judges, who said ‘the content was well defined in terms of strategy, innovation, challenges and goals’, Coats said in a press release.

The Corporate and Financial Awards recognises excellence in all aspects of financial and corporate communication. Simon O’Brien, head of brand and online accepted the award on behalf of Coats. (GK)
