The Conscious Fashion Campaign (CFC) has joined the global 24-hour fundraising broadcast, One Humanity Live (OHM) being held on May 29, 2020. CFC, in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Partnerships, engages industry events, initiatives, and activations to take collective action towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

OHM Live has confirmed the participation of more than 230 global stars, advocates, and change-makers in the ground-breaking, 24-hour fundraising broadcast. The amazing line-up of icons from the worlds of music, sport, film, art, impact, fashion and health and wellness have decided to come together to reignite the power of dreaming and unite the world with messages of hope and positivity at a time when it is needed most.

Presented by Constellation and ITP Live, One Humanity Live is a 24-hour live charity broadcast that aims to bring together one billion dreamers to share their voice and seed their dream for the future as well as raise funds to support charity partnerships. As advocates for the Sustainable Development Goals, OHM Live will consist of one-to-one interviews and empowering stories of hope from activists, advocates and change-makers. The line-up welcomes youth leaders Vanessa Nakate, Melati Wijsen, Tokata Iron Eyes, Jamie Margolin, Verneda Adele White, Mary Annaise Heglar, Isabella Fallahi, Nida Allam, and Sophie Healy-Thow.

Placing a spotlight on Sustainable Development Goals related projects, the experience will highlight organisations driving positive change. Lucie Brigham, chief of office for the United Nations Office for Partnerships, will discuss the CFC and share insights on the success to date of engaging leading global industry events, initiatives and activations to facilitate collective action towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The conversation will show how the CFC coordinates advocacy, education and engagement of fashion industry stakeholders to implement responsible business practices that are mindful of social, economic and environmental impact. Global partners to date include CFDA, Drapers Sustainable Fashion Conference, Messe Frankfurt, Informa, Hyve, WSN, and Kingpins, according to a press release by CFC.

Additional Sustainable Development Goals spotlight initiatives include Akashinga, 1 Million Meals, Care to Connect NYC, Global Indigenous Youth Caucus, Nest, Elliot for Water, EKOenergy, Pashmina Goat Foundation, Peace Boat - Ecoship, Red Carpet Green Dress, Bye Bye Plastic Bags, Grow Your Own Cloud, Friday’s for Future Uganda, Oceanic Global, Rhino Review, Change the Ref, Polluters Out, and March for Science.

The schedule will feature contributions from Satya Tripathi, United Nations Environment Programme, Aldijana Sisic, United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence against Women, UN Women, United Nations Development Programme Equator Initiative, United Nations Climate Action Summit challenge winners and Peace Boat Ocean and Climate Youth Ambassadors, all with a call to action to protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere.

OHM Live is raising funds for a number of NGOs, supporting their COVID19-related initiatives. All money raised through OHM Live’s Constellation Dream Fund will go to beneficiaries such as Global Gift Foundation, Médecins Sans Frontières, Dubai Cares, FromU2Them, and Care to Connect NYC, all of whom are supporting those on the front lines fighting the current pandemic.
