Invista’s Cordura brand is set to participate as the “Revolutionise” sponsor of the 2017 Redress Raleigh Fashion Show, to be held on August 18, 2017, at the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) Raleigh. The sponsorship reflects Cordura brand’s commitment to nurturing independent designers, responsible manufacturing, and durable designs of tomorrow.

Redress is an inclusive community of designers and consumers dedicated to sustainably produced apparel and increasing awareness around what it means to be a conscious customer. Its annual fashion show highlights the latest in responsibly-produced apparel in the South-eastern US.

Cordura brand will supply fabric for the designers and provide inspirational trend insights for this year’s Redress Raleigh x Cordura brand capsule collection, a collaboration that highlights the critical importance of personalisation, pushing the boundaries of cutting-edge innovation and the role of 360-degree durability in sustainability.

Beth Stewart, executive director of Redress Raleigh said, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring Cordura fabrics to our designers through this sponsorship. Sustainability and durability go hand-in-hand, so this was a perfect opportunity to empower designers to create eco-conscious, long-lasting fashion.”

Cindy McNaull, global Cordura brand and marketing director said, “Redress Raleigh’s mission aligns perfectly with our dedication to sustainability through long-lasting products that allow consumers to Live Durable. We are thrilled to celebrate the unique creations of each designer and their commitment to social responsibility through the integration of innovative, eco-efficient, and built to last fabric solutions.”

Linda Keppinger, CEO and founder of MaterialsMove, will appear on behalf of Cordura brand to brief attendees on the latest fabrics and trends. Keppinger will also moderate the Fashion Show event, where designers will unveil their final designs inspired by trends shaping the industry.

Keppinger said, “Collaborating with the Cordura brand to share trend insights shaping our industry provides a great opportunity to educate designers and broaden their visions for the future of design. From my experience, significant change follows collaboration in the industry - specifically between designers and suppliers. Redress Raleigh celebrates this collaboration and I’m honoured to help showcase the creativity of these forward-thinking designers.” (GK)
