The Chinese domestic spot market of caprolactam remained in downturn on May 19.
Cargo holders cut their offer level to about 26,200-26,300 Yuan / ton. However, downstream sector showed less interest in purchases.
Sporadic bids were around 26,000 Yuan / ton, actually negotiated price was around 26,000-26,200 Yuan / ton, market transaction was depressed, and actual negotiation was scarce.
Spot market of caprolactam imports was flat; offers from cargo holders were light.
Some offers fell to US $3,250-3,260 / ton (CFR China main port L/C 90 days). Inquires from downstream sector was around US $3,200 / ton.
Actually negotiated price was around US $3230-3240/ ton (CFR China main port L/C 90 days). Trading atmosphere looked light, actual negotiation was limited.
