Dec investors' summit in Punjab to focus on MSME promotion

Promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will be the focus at the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit-2019 in Mohali on December 5-6 in line with its theme ‘building partnership for inclusive growth—MSMEs in the Global Value Chain’. A senior state official said about 18 cash awards would be presented at the event in nine categories.
State additional chief secretary for investment promotion Vini Mahajan said the awards will be presented to Punjab-based MSMEs in agro & food processing, automobiles & auto parts, textiles, engineering, pharmaceuticals, information technology & electronics, sports, hand tools and leather industry.
The summit is expected to attract huge investments in the state, a newspaper reported quoted her as saying.
