With two months left before DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR kicks off, the organisers reported that 94 per cent of the exhibiting space is already booked and hundreds of visitors pre-register on a daily basis.

“Intricate new carpets, handmade pieces of art and carpet flooring innovations will be on offer at the show which runs from March 22-24, 2016,” a press release from the organiser stated.

Around 500 domestic and international manufacturers of all types of carpets, rugs, carpet raw materials and carpet technology will be exhibiting spread throughout five dedicated halls.

International carpet companies like Oriental Weavers, Balta, Suminoe, Boyteks, Alsorayai, Solomon and Chinese brands like Shanhua, Haima, Voxflor and Fuxing will be exhibiting at the show.

Additionally, there will be country pavilions like the Belgium Pavilion, the German Pavilion and American Floorcovering Alliance (AFA) Pavilion, which will be showcasing machine-made carpets in two dedicated halls.

“The show is an important event which allows us to show the latest innovations and meet with other industry peers from China and all over the world,” Peter Han, international sales director at Haima Carpets said.

“The show offers a lot of useful information to the visitors and is a great opportunity for us to build international partnerships,” he added.

“Carpet industry in Asia is developing fast and in China in particular, the carpet industry is undergoing consolidation and transformation of the processes shifting from focusing on quantity to quality,” Han observed.

Hand-made masterpieces will be showcased in Hall W5 by internationally renowned producers such as Abbas Nishaburi, Jaipur, Tibetan Sheep and SAIF along with country pavilions from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.

According to the organisers, hand-made carpet sales are increasing their share in the Chinese residential market as a result of the increasing wealth and quality of life among people living in China.

The dedicated Carpet Innovaction area, in hall W2, with displays of the latest products and designs will give visitors the information they need on the latest trends.

“We always bring our most recent products to the show after all it is the leading flooring trade exhibition in Asian Pacific,” Guo Hong, president at Voxflor too said.

“It is an international and the most professional exhibition for world flooring industry and also a great platform for Chinese local brands,” Hong also added.

The recently launched Handmade Carpet Hosted Buyer Program will also hold its B2B meetings in hall W5, bringing together buyers and sellers together for business match-making on the first day of the show.

“This program has in particular met great interest and enthusiasm across hand-made carpet buyers in China and abroad,” the organiser informed. (AR)
