Digital textile printing pioneer Epson has unveiled its new Monna Lisa Evo Tre range and new Genesta pigment inks at ITMA 2019, demonstrating the latest innovations for an evolving digital textile market. In hall 3, stand C210, Epson is showing its new Monna Lisa Evo Tre 64 and Monna Lisa Evo Tre 8, Monna Lisa Evo Tre 32, and Monna Lisa Evo Tre 16.

The new Monna Lisa Evo Tre range features Epson PrecisionCore Technology to offer a complete solution for all textile market needs, from large scale, high speed production to small run, on demand sample printing.

Genesta PG-Revo are breakthrough pigment inks which provide the textile market with high rub fastness and high print quality. This assures eco-friendly performances because the fabric does not need any post-print treatment.

“Epson keeps on renewing and extending the Monna Lisa Evo Tre range. At ITMA we are presenting two new Monna Lisa Evo Tre which will give our customers the opportunity to meet the needs of an ever-demanding textile market. The textile market is increasingly competitive, and the exclusive high quality, productivity and colour fastness features offered by Epson is a way to stand out,” said Epson Europe DTF EMEAR and Americas sales & marketing director Paolo Crespi.

The new flagship Monna Lisa Evo Tre scanning printer with 64 PrecisionCore printheads is built for high productivity (maximum printing speed of 779 sq m/h) without compromising the printing quality. Monna Lisa Evo Tre 64’s PrecisionCore technology combines quality, accuracy and speed which provides the maximum level of flexibility and reliability so that it is the right solution for a dynamic and diversified textile market. With resolution up to 1200 dpi, it works on Genesta Acid, reactive, disperse and pigment ink types.

The Monna Lisa Evo Tre 8, with 8 PrecisionCore printheads, is the new entry level model in the Monna Lisa Evo Tre scanning printer range. With a maximum printing speed of 265 sq m/h, Monna Lisa Evo Tre 8 is suitable for printing samples by delivering high quality for an affordable price. This new Monna Lisa Evo Tre series model can be upgraded (at the factory) to 16 printheads, while maintaining the high versatility available in all Epson industrial textile solution machines. With resolution up to 1200 dpi, this printer too works on Genesta Acid, reactive, disperse and pigment ink types.

With its 32 PrecisionCore printheads, Monna Lisa Evo Tre 32 is available in standard 8 colours or 16 channel configuration (two types 8+8 or 16 channels). The 16 channel Monna Lisa Evo Tre 32 is the first digital textile printer to handle up to 16 different colours. The model includes an external rack capable of housing up to 16 different Genesta Acid ink packs, which is positioned wherever is most convenient. This allows the printer to use a wide range of colours, including special colours or custom treatments.

Monna Lisa Evo Tre 16, with its 16 PrecisionCore printheads, offers high quality and productivity for the high-quality textile market. The flexibility is assured thanks to acid, reactive, disperse and pigment inks that are available in 3 or 10 litres capacities. It has a maximum printing speed of 404 sq m/h.

The new breakthrough Genesta PG-Revo pigment ink provides industry-standard dry and wet rub fastness in deep shades (same results as traditional printing according to ISO 105 X12) without post-treatment of fabric by faster chemical and physical bonding characteristics and allows for high-quality printing on a wide range of fabric types and applications including fast growing on-demand fashion and home textile markets.

PG-Revo ink does not consume water in the post printing process, which makes it very environmentally friendly. PG-Revo inks can be also applied on fabrics without pre-treatment, further boosting their eco-friendly performances. (RKS)
