Ethylene prices plunge in US past week

Ethylene prices went down in US in the last week owing to weaker upstream energy values coupled with softer regional buying trends.
In US, average prices decreased by 1 cents/pound and recorded at 22 cents/pound in the last week, a drop of 4.35 per cent as compared to previous week.
Meanwhile in Europe, average prices reduced by US$ 5/ton and assessed at US$ 1300/ton in the last week, a decrement of 0.38 per cent as compared to previous week due to bearish product demand in the region.
