Ethylene prices surge in US last week

Ethylene prices soared in US in the last week. The price hike was a result of insufficient regional product availability coupled with higher upstream energy values.
In US, average prices moved up by 1 cents/pound and assessed at 25 cents/pound in the last week, an increment of 4.17 per cent as compared to previous week due to strong demand in the region.
Meanwhile in Europe, average prices inched up by US$ 45/ton and quoted at US$ 1205/ton in the last week, a hike of 3.88 per cent as compared to the previous week due to strong demand in the region.
