The next Annual Textile ETP Conference and General Assembly will be held in Porto/Portugal during April 28-30, 2020. The event is likely to be attended by over 500 participants, including local textile and clothing companies. This brings the ETP work closer to industry and helps share the latest EU textile research and innovation results among attendees.

The event will focus on the strategic innovation themes for textiles and clothing and how they link to the new Horizon Europe research and innovation framework programme starting in 2021.

“We expect many ETP members to join us for this premiere and hope that this will create an encouraging precedent for organizing more ETP events across Europe in the future,” ETP said.

The event will focus on mega-trends and political developments in EU research and innovation. There will the ETP General Assembly for all full and associate members. The show will have eight plenary sessions on the four main themes - Digitalisation, Advanced Materials, Sustainability and New Textile Applications.
