    European benzene prices fall from poor demand on Aug 3

    Benzene prices fell in Europe on Monday (Aug 3) due to lower upstream energy prices and poor downstream demand in the region.

    Prices were assessed at US$ 860/ton, lower by US$ 10/ton as compared to prices at end of last week.

    Contract prices for the month of August were settled at US$ 853/ton CIF ARA, down by US$ 29/ton as against contract prices of July.
