Future Supply Chain Solutions Ltd (FSC) recently announced the inauguration of the primary national distribution centre of Benetton India Pvt Ltd at Koka in Haryana’s Jhajjar district. FSC is now a partner for Benetton India in streamlining the latter’s domestic supply chain and expanding its business into new markets. The warehouse spans 1,12,000 sq ft.

The facility can handle an inventory volume of over 4 million and more than 1,00,000 stock keeping units (SKUs), as well as various value added services like product kitting, customised packaging and returns management. It is equipped with shelving/racking storage, advanced material handling equipment, dock levellers, packaging machines and a full back-up generator, according to an FSC press release.

It features an efficient 50kW solar power plant, sky lighting and two sewage treatment plants for enabling reuse of contaminated water.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Sundeep Chugh, managing director and chief executive officer of Benetton India and Abhik Saha, director, supply chain, of the company.
