The Gallery and Showroom Concept tradeshows will take place from Jan 25-27, 2020 and Jan 24-28, 2020 in Düsseldorf, Germany, respectively. To kick off the new season, Gallery will be presenting its new logo. Instead of Gallery, in the future the tradeshow will be known as ‘Gallery Fashion’ as a counterpart to its sister fair ‘Gallery Shoes’.

“In these times full of upheaval, change, demands for new approaches and more digitalisation, we – as a tradefair company and established location for 70 years – are offering stability with our contemporary, practical and cost-efficient concepts. Düsseldorf is the mother of the international fashion business in Germany: sometimes quieter, sometimes louder… but always here and always reliable! Meeting people in person every season will remain important in the future!” said Ulrike Kähler, managing director of Igedo Company and project director of both formats.

“It’s not just a stylistic matter, but also a clear message to the market: these two shows are firmly established and perfectly complement one other,” said Kähler. “Gallery Fashion has the same potential as Gallery Shoes, also in terms of using the Areal Böhler to its full capacity, with the option of an additional three temporary lightweight halls. In these times of great upheaval and change, we are offering stability with our contemporary, practical and efficient concepts.”

The show is hoping to see the biggest growth in the Showroom Concept. “Meanwhile well established, this appealing concept is really making waves. For the upcoming edition we will be supporting the Showroom Concept with a specific panel talk in cooperation with key industry players as part of the line-up,” added Kähler.

After starting out eight seasons ago with a smaller section in one hall, Gallery has meanwhile become a hotspot for top international agencies and premium brands. The Showroom Concept T meanwhile takes up three entire halls, where business is done and orders are placed for a total of five to ten days.

The Concept is a smart, temporary alternative to showrooms with long-term leases. It gives professional buyers and exhibitors a practical overview and saves them money, effort and time in the process. In addition to providing a space for arranged appointments, the Showroom Concept also profits from the professional visitors who visit the original three-day core event, Gallery Fashion. All in all, it offers the ideal atmosphere for doing business and placing orders – in a trendy industrial-style location alongside compatible exhibitors and visitors and with a practical shuttle service.

An informative accompanying line-up with carefully curated side events rounds off Gallery Fashion’s offer. In addition to attention-grabbing collection presentations, panel talks, presentations and a trend area that will be providing store design inspiration in the ‘Alte Schmiedehallen’, Gallery Fashion Trendview is once again being planned as a central order overview for the coming season.

Trend expert Karolina Landowski and Igedo fashion director Alexander Radermacher, will be giving a talk on the most important ladies’ and menswear order looks on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at 10:30 am in the Alte Schmiedehallen at Areal Böhler.
