The same increased by 0.9 per cent year on year (YoY) in the euro area and by 1.1 per cent YoY in the EU in the quarter, after rising by 0.9 per cent YoY in the euro area and 1 per cent YoY in the EU in Q3 2024.
In Q3 2024, GDP had expanded by 0.4 per cent QoQ in both areas.
Seasonally- and calendar-adjusted GDP increased by 0.7 per cent in the euro area and by 0.9 per cent in the EU in 2024.
The number of employed persons increased by 0.1 per cent QoQ in both the areas in Q4 2024. In Q3 2024, employment had increased by 0.2 per cent QoQ in the euro area and had remained stable in the EU.
Employment increased by 0.9 per cent in the euro area and by 0.8 per cent in the EU in 2024, an Eurostat release said.
Employment increased by 0.6 per cent YoY in the euro area and by 0.5 per cent YoY in the EU in Q4 2024 after rising by 1 per cent YoY in the euro area and by 0.7 per cent YoY in the EU in Q3.
