Ghezzi launching Roica Eco Smart at Filo

Ghezzi is launching Roica Eco Smart by Asahi Kasei, a new standard in premium stretch yarn at Filo trade show in booth A5.
“Ghezzi is a yarn manufacturer known for twisted, stretch and fancy yarns made with synthetic, artificial and natural fibres,” a Ghezzi press release said.
According to the company, Roica Eco Smart by Asahi Kasei is truly the latest, unique and smart innovation in premium stretch.
“It is designed to confer a more responsible high performance without compromise, while appealing to the modern consumer's desire for better value and values,” Ghezzi added.
Roica Eco Smart is the only sustainable, eco-stretch elastane that is Global Recycling Standard by Textile Exchange certified.
Its production uses polymer science to repurpose up to at least 50 per cent pre-consumer waste, adding an ethical value to a supply chain with shared environmental concerns.
Ghezzi is a partner also of Cupro by Asahi Kasei for many years, which too is a refined, matchless material with an exquisite silk like touch.
“Its soft versatility makes it perfect for the modern wardrobe's fashions, intimates, special occasion and everyday casual wear,” the Italian yarn maker stated.
For the A/W 2017-2018 season, the company is introducing a reinterpretation of its classic yarns, artificial and synthetic fibres in combination with natural fibres.
They include Roica yarns blended with artificial fibres such as viscose and Cupro and eco-friendly yarns made from viscose from cotton linters and bamboo filament blended with Roica Eco Smart.
The new products also include Roica stretch with ceramic polyester yarn and new combinations of fibres for producing cady fabrics for outwear.
Other products like Frisottini Stretch with Roica in viscose and hand-modified polyester; and microtencel stretch crepe with Roica will also be launched.
Ghezzi's production facilities includes a plant of around 30,000 spindles, turning out high quality twisted, stretch and fancy yarns for outerwear, fashion and home textiles, both for curtain and upholstery fabrics. (AR)
