Global Fashion Agenda has announced Kering, H&M, Target and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition as its first strategic partners. Global Fashion Agenda is the year-round agenda setting forum, which has Copenhagen Fashion Summit as its flagship event. These partners will share their views with the industry's decision makers at the Summit scheduled for May.

The strategic partner group represents pioneering leaders within the luxury, high-street and mass market segments. This will enable the industry to gain full transparency on where the largest potential in sustainability lies and how to capture this through concrete actions.

"We have carefully selected the strategic partners due to their explicit commitment to create positive change and thus their ability to push the industry towards a more sustainable future. They will come together to openly share their strategic priorities and expertise and provide thought leadership on what it takes to drive intelligent progress in the industry," says Eva Kruse, CEO & president of Global Fashion Agenda and Copenhagen Fashion Summit.

With its ambitious 2025 Targets, Kering is crafting a new, sustainable luxury and by 'empowering imagination' the group encourages its brands to reach their potential, in the most sustainable manner. Kering is committed to care about its impact on the planet, climate change and natural resources; to collaborate for the good of its employees, suppliers, clients; and to create pioneering ideas to safeguard its rich heritage and empower future generations. As one of the first big fashion companies to recognise consumer demand for greater transparency and ethical production methods, H&M has not only set out the vision to become a 100 per cent circular business, but also to lead the change towards circular and renewable fashion while being a fair and equal company.

Sustainability is integrated throughout Target and the company continues to integrate sustainable practices across its business with a focus on using its resources responsibly and maintaining the health of its communities. The Sustainable Apparel Coalition's main focus is on building the Higg Index, a standardized supply chain measurement tool for all industry participants to understand the environmental and social and labour impacts of making and selling their products and services.
