    HC Petrochem operates No.2 PX plant at curtailed capacity

    Hyundai Cosmo (HC) Petrochemical Ltd. is currently operating its Daesan, South Korea-based No.2 Paraxylene (PX) plant at curtailed capacity.
     
    “The No. 2 PX plant is running at 70 percent of its production capacity due to weak market fundamentals,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
     
    The plant has capacity to produce 800,000 mt/year of PX.
     
    In August this year, HC Petrochem was operating the plant at 80 percent capacity, and the company has now further reduced its operating rate.
