Luciano Sardini, president of IMA Spa, well-known for offering customised and technologically-advanced solutions, has passed away, according to a LinkedIn post by his daughter Mirella Sardini, the CEO of the company. IMA manufactures machinery for the garment industry or the whole range for cutting rooms like automatic spreading and cutting machines.

"Our Captain has just left for his most important journey. We are not alone, he will be wherever we are to give us strength. A visionary leader, Mr. Luciano Sardini, president of IMA. An era ends, but a new one has just begun--always ahead," Mirella said in her post.

Under Luciano's leadership, IMA was the first company to develop a digital spreader.

Lucinao founded IMA Spa in 1977 in Turin, Italy. A few years after its establishment, it joined the Macpi Group. Over the years, IMA Spa has consolidated its position in offering the widest range of spreading installations, cloth rolls handling and managing systems and software programs for full organisation in cutting room.
