India's FIEO to take part in June China Import-Export Fair

A delegation of Indian traders led by the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) under the commerce ministry will participate in the 25th China-Import Export Fair in Kunming in June. Following fresh US trade restrictions, exporters need to explore improved prospects and it is better to start from opportunities closer to home, FIEO said in a release.
China is offering huge potential for start-ups and small exporters and India's exports to China registered a rise of over 53 per cent to $1.24 billion last year, a news agency reported quoting the press release.
Sectors with huge potential are organic chemicals, textiles and garments, silk, granites, minerals, medical device and pharmaceuticals, it said. (DS)
