The conference organised by the Fibre Institute Bremen and Bremen Cotton Exchange, will shed light on the entire world of cotton including sustainability, quality, seed breeding, digitalisation, research and textile processes. It will offer solutions to future challenges that are important not only to the specialist cotton world, but also to the entire cotton supply chain from processing to textile retailing.
The conference will host lectures and panel discussions, as well as ample opportunity for the exchange of experience among the participants. In their presentations, Gediminas Mikutes from Haelixa GmbH, Switzerland and Paul Stenning from Fibremark Solutions Ltd., Great Britain, will provide information on active product labelling techniques and the possibilities of downstream testing, while Sam Lind, Oritain Global Ltd, New Zealand, will discuss the possibility of using inherent fingerprinting capabilities with the help of the determination of element and isotope distribution in cotton.
Experts from all over the world will discuss cotton from yield to fabric. At the end of the conference, participants will be given an overview of the many possibilities of traceability techniques as well as their specific suitability. (RR)
