JX Nippon Kawasaki benzene plant turnaround in Aug

The Kawasaki located benzene plant of Japan-based JX Nippon Oil and Energy Corp will be taken off-stream in mid-August for a maintenance turnaround.

Apart for which, the Sendai based benzene plant has already been shutdown for maintenance on June 10, a JX Nippon Oil official told fibre2fashion.

The Sendai plant has a benzene capacity of 90,000 tons per year and Kawasaki plant has a capacity of 150,000 tons per annum.

The Sendai plant will restart on July 6, he added.
