Supplier of technology for petrochemical plants, Technip has been awarded a contract to provide engineering and procurement of three proprietary SMK grassroots furnaces by Russian company Kazanorgsintez. The furnaces will be part of the ethylene plant at the Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia site, scheduled for mechanical completion in 2018.

Earlier in 2007 and 2015, Technip supplied SMK double-cell cracking furnaces to Kazanorgsintez which are operating successfully.
