Maglificio Ripa, leading producer of innovative knitted textiles, and Roica by Asahi Kasei have created a new collection of evergreen fabrics in collaboration with Italian artist Paola Lenski. Deep is the keyword throughout Ripa’s collections for A/W 2018, a word which enhances the cooperation with Roica by Asahi Kasei. It will be showcased at Interfilière.

Through the use of the eco-sustainable Roica yarn, which seriously takes into consideration the planet’s limited resources, Maglificio Ripa launches a new concept throughout its range of fabrics, the concept of ‘depth’ in the global sense of the word.

Deep expresses the extraordinary depth and richness of color in its textiles, a depth guaranteed by the across-the- board use of the dyeable stretch yarn Roica Colour Perfect, by Asahi Kasei, a yarn which also assures optimum color fastness. Deep also lends great comfort and fit to the finished garment thanks to the introduction of Roica Eco Smart, a world-first GRS-certified premium stretch yarn that ensures the recycling of production residues up to 60 per cent.

Maglificio Ripa is already doing its fair share towards the future wellbeing of the planet through its continuous investments in research and innovation, well ahead of the now-growing demand for eco-sustainable products. From fashion to sportswear, from underwear to beachwear, Maglificio’s actual mission is to interpret and anticipate the market’s need for authentically eco-sustainable products.

The mission has been pursued with tenacity and transparency and can be seen throughout the four main collections Dress, Skin, Splash, Sport, which cover practically all areas of fashion. Maglificio is constantly developing new, authentically eco-sustainable products in conformity with the Oeko-Tex and Reach protocols and more recently Greenpeace’s Detox program. Through this, Maglificio seriously wants to help reduce the diffusion of chemical substances harmful to man and the environment.

The beauty of Maglificio’s sustainable fabrics is guaranteed also by the combination with two innovative hich-tech fibres, QNova certified GRS, made from regenerated nylon, and Evo, a high-tech yarn 100 per cent biobased, both patented by Fulgar the Italian company engaged in sustainability with products and performances certified LCA.

To best valorize another extraordinary high-tech yarn, Fulgar’s Nanofibre, already present in their collections, Maglificio has invested important resources to acquire four new state of the art machines capable of producing gossamer-weight solids and jacquards, which in addition to being incredibly soft and silky are surprisingly resistant.

Timeless Authenticity in Textile Creativity is the slogan of the Essenza book, an intense and profound visual journey, in perfect tune with the Deep collection and in strong synergy with the Roica Colour Perfect and Roica Eco Smart yarns. The passion for fabrics builds on strong emotions, and this is also thanks to the collaboration with Lenski. (KD)
