Marchi & Fildi presents ECOTEC yarns at Filo expo

Marchi & Fildi, providers of cotton based yarns for the textile industry and specialised range of types and styles of different yarns, displaying ECOTEC, a 'first' Made in Italy yarn produced by an exclusive production process, at the ongoing 46th edition of Filo, international yarns exhibition, held from September 28 to 29, 2016, in Milan, Italy, in booth D 5-7.
The company is displaying two ECOTEC product lines at Filo: ECOTEC Innovation, a line of smart solutions created by the R&D department of Marchi & Fildi, in cooperation with a textile style office, and ECOTEC Collection, an exclusive range of ECOTEC fabrics made by accredited ECOTEC partners.
The production process of ECOTEC yarn is traceable and certified, transforming pre-dyed textile clippings into a 100 per cent cotton yarn with record savings in water and energy consumption. Proven metrics of up to 56,3 per cent reduction on the greenhouse effect, up to 56,6 per cent in energy savings, and up to 77,9 per cent in water consumption throughout the complete process.
A fundamental part of this process is the saving on source raw materials as the process is all about transforming quality waste clippings into excellence through pure valorisation. With the exclusive Marchi & Fildi process, these redundant remnants from the fashion system's garment production are recovered and transformed into ECOTEC yarns.
ECOTEC certifications include Oeko-Tex 100, GRS (Global Recycled Standard), Certified Quality System Company ISO 9000:2008, TF (Traceability & Fashion), LCA (Life Cycle Assessment). ECOTEC is a refined and versatile yarn that is perfect for woven and jersey fashion fabrics, as well as for knitwear and hosiery. It is perfect for retail and contract furnishings in ways that appeal to the creative experimentation of interiors stylists and designers. It is available in an extended range of vivid and bright colours, as a stock service for immediate delivery.
