Mercedes-Benz showroom goes green for Viral Desai

In a first, a Mercedes-Benz showroom in Surat went green for Viral Desai, the chief executive officer of Surat-based textiles major Zenitex. Known as the 'Green Man' of Gujarat, Desai has been gifted 250 trees by the Landmark Group along with a new Mercedes car. Desai is an entrepreneur known for implementing sustainability methods in his business.

"I believe that when prestigious corporates start acknowledging your efforts, initiatives, it deeply impacts you and empowers your belief and gives an unmatched sense of joy, content and pride. It has become the most powerful inspiration of my life," Desai said.

By virtue of his endeavour, Desai has been bestowed with maximum number of state, national and international awards for environmental protection and energy conservation. His contribution to the society through Hearts@work Foundation encompasses an in-depth work in areas such as health, environment, skill development and women empowerment with primary focus on sustainability.
