Mitsui's cracker to go off stream in July

Mitsui Chemicals will shut down a naphtha cracker in July, as part of a scheduled maintenance program.

The Ichihara cracker located in Chiba prefecture will be off-stream for a period of 27 days in July.

The plant has an ethylene production capacity of 553,000 tons.

However, Mitsui will skip the scheduled maintenance at the naphtha cracker located in Osaka, which has a capacity of 455,000 tons per annum.
