Myanmar’s ministry of planning, finance and industry plans to open a technical high school at the No. 6 Garment Factory (Branch) near Ywatone village in Monywa town in the Sagaing region in collaboration with the Indian government. India has been sending machines, equipment and learning devices to Myanmar since May last year for the school.

Myanmar had sent teachers who will serve at the school to India for training who are now back in the country to serve. The trainees will be offered and selected in February, March and April, according to a report in a Myanmarese newspaper.

Year-long courses in CNC technology, computer-aided design, mechatronics, apparel manufacturing, pattern maker, welding, information technology, tool and die making and electrician (industrial and advanced) will start at the school.
