Bombay Rayon Fashions Q1 net profit jumps

Bombay Rayon Fashions Ltd. (BRFL), manufacturers of woven, dyed and printed fabrics for apparel and furnishing applications, as well as readymade apparels, has said that its net profit has increased to Rs. 568.1 million during the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
The company has registered an 8.89 percent year-on-year increase compared to a net profit of Rs. 521.7 million achieved during the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Net sales of the company during the quarter ended June 30 grew to Rs. 6.03 billion, as against Rs. 5.02 billion reported in the first quarter of previous fiscal, a year-on-year increase of 20.11 percent.
For the fiscal year 2010-11, with net sales of Rs. 22.54 billion, BRFL posted a net profit of Rs. 2.26 billion.
