Asian benzene buyers seek huge volumes, sellers reluctant

Asian benzene fell US $6 on December 13. Buyers showed intention to buy January cargo at US $1,015 / ton (FOB Korea), while sellers displayed intention to sell at $1,026 / ton.
Negotiated price for shipment in late January was in the range of $1000-1020 / ton. Negotiated price for shipment in February was in the range of $1021-1030 / ton. Intention for March cargo was in the range of $1026-1035 dollars / ton.
In the Chinese domestic benzene market, transactions were in the range of 7,800-7,850 Yuan / ton in East China, 7,600-7,700 Yuan / ton in South China and 7,650-7,750 Yuan / ton in North China.
Buyers still seem interested in placing large orders, but sellers are reluctant to sell at low cost. Trade volume of large orders is light and it is relatively difficult to fine effective supply. Short-term market conditions are expected to be stable.
Meanwhile, the ex-factory price of Northeast Sales Branch of China National Petroleum is 7,600 Yuan / ton and that of East China branch of Sinopec is 7,700 Yuan / ton.
