Chinese polyester filament market continues to be weak

Polyester market appeared subdued on December 17-18, due to weak sales for the past several days. From the moving trend of various products, sales of FDY 50D/24F are better. Current price of the FDY variety is about 14,000 Yuan / ton.
Sales of DTY products, including 100D/36F, 150D/48F, 75D/36F, are acceptable, while sales of other varieties are moderate. In general, among DTY products, sales of coarse denier yarn are slightly better than fine denier yarns.
Although polyester filament plants do not hold large inventories and wait and watch psychology is prevailing in the polyester market. Experts believe that polyester filament market will continue to be weak in the short term.
