The volume of fabric suiting sales in India is likely to grow at 8 percent per annum, according to one of India's leading men's suiting fabric manufacturer and retailer.
Speaking to fibre2fashion, Mr. Nitin Jain, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer, OCM India Ltd, said, “We expect the fabric suiting market in India to grow at an average of 8 percent annually, as more and more customers will continue to choose fabric over ready-to-wear in the formal and semi-formal space.”
In order to capitalize on the same, OCM is widening its retail presence in the country and it plans to become one of the top two worsted suiting fabric companies in the next 2-3 years.
Mr. Jain informs, “OCM's focus is to grow its business through its existing distribution network that includes a large number of multi-brand outlets (MBOs) and wholesalers. Our focus would be on the 25-35 age group male in Tier II and Tier III cities.”
The Amritsar-based company is a part of WL Ross & Co. LLC and currently has about 1,100 points of sale in the country.
