India's first exclusive kids' fashion week will be held in the commercial capital of Mumbai on January 17-19, 2012.
After the exclusive Men's Fashion Week, this would be the first ever India Kids Fashion Week.
Around 500 children aged between four to 14 years selected from Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi would walk the ramp during the event.
The three day event would have 24 shows, with eight designers displaying their collections each day.
Kids sporting stylish apparels, shoes and accessories, forming part of collections of renowned designers including Nishka Lulla, Rocky S and Narendra Kumar, would walk down the ramp during the event.
The show would also exhibit collections of kidswear brands like Little Kangaroos, Kidology, Just for Kids and Barbie as well as designer collections by Malini Ramani, Gaurav Gupta, Raghuvendra Rathore and Gauri and Nainika.
This decision to organize an exclusive fashion event with kids as its main focus is stirred by the fact that the kids' fashion industry in India is doing extremely well and the kids branded retail market has registered a rise of around 25 to 30 percent.
Besides several Indian brands, global brands like Burberry and Fendi are also considering the launch of kids' collection.
